Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work offline?

Yes. Rush is "Offline First". Your data is stored in a local SQLite database (`rush.db`) and never leaves your machine.

Is it free?

Yes, Rush is free software licensed under GPLv3. You can use it for free forever.

How can I sync my data?

Since Rush stores data locally, you can sync your database file (`~/.local/share/rush/rush.db`) using tools like Syncthing, Nextcloud, or Dropbox.

How do I backup my tasks?

You can use the built-in "Export" feature in Settings to save your tasks as a JSON file, or simply copy your database file to a safe location.

Does it have Dark Mode?

Yes! Rush supports both Light and Dark themes. It respects your system settings by default but can be toggled manually.

What platforms are supported?

Rush is built for Linux (GNOME). We provide Flatpak and native packages for Fedora/RHEL. Support for other distros is available via Flatpak.
